Printup's beadworking ability and choice of expression should come as no surprise. Both of Printup’s grandmothers, Doris Hudson and Dorene Rickard, are both highly accomplished in this Tuscarora art form.

 

In collaboration with Rosemary Hill and others, Printup has begun traveling to prestigious Native art markets “to showcase our Tuscarora beadwork at a larger level.” In the highly competitive settings of the Eiteljorg Museum (Indianapolis, IN), Southwest Association for American Indian Arts (Santa Fe, NM), and the National Museum of the American Indian (Washington, DC), Printup's understated and resplendently executed submissions have earned him special recognition.
