Myndert Lansingby
Myndert Lansing was born during the early 1680s. He probably was the son of Gerrit and Elsie Van Den Uythoff Lansing. He grew up as part of a large family in the home of a prominent baker and fur trader. This individual does not appear to have married or to have raised a family. In 1715, he was named on the roster of an Albany militia company. In 1716, he was appointed constable for the second ward. In 1720, he would have been approaching forty when his name was included on a list of freeholders living in the first ward. That was the last reference to Myndert Lansing thus far encountered. notes
