Lee Ielpi

Lee Ielpi is a retired 26-six year veteran of the New York Fire Department. His son, Jonathan, was a member of FDNY Squad 288, which responded to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. During the interview, Mr. Ielpi describes reaching Ground Zero shortly after the collapse of the second tower, the search for his son, and the initial rescue operations around the World Trade Center collapse.
