Geesje Vedder Staatsby
Geesje Vedder was born in 1733. She may have been the daughter of Simon and Geertruy Kip Vedder. In March 1761, she was identified as a spinster when she married Jochim I. Staats at the Albany Dutch church. Her daughter was christened there in 1767. It appears that she was their only child. Geesie was a pewholder and occasional baptism sponsor. In 1765, she was left fifty pounds and a "Negro girl" in the will of her uncle, Isaac Kip. Geesje Vedder Staats was accounted for in 1790 within the first ward household of her husband. She was alive at least until the mid-1790s.
