Maria Yates Bogert

Maria Yates was born about 1720. She was the daughter of Christoffel and Catalina Winne Yates. She grew up in a large family at her father's smithy in the second ward. She was the sister of Albany leader Abraham Yates, Jr.

In October 1741, she married Jacob Bogert, Jr. at the Albany Dutch church. By 1763, eleven children had been christened in Albany where she was a pewholder.

This Bogert family lived in the third ward where Jacob was a carpenter.

Maria Yates Bogert was last heard from at the christening of her last child in 1763.
