Robert Wright

by

Robert Wright was identified as a merchant in Albany in 1781.

The information that follows is intended to develop our profile of this Albany resident. Thus, it is deliberately cautious.

Perhaps he was born in Pennsylvania in 1741.

Perhaps this individual also was Capt. Robert Wright of the First Canadian Regiment (James Livingston). This individual was sent to the upper Hudson Valley to recruit soldiers to serve in Livingston's regiment. He was given a 12-month leave from the regiment in June 1779 and did not return.

Robert Wright seems to have made a faint impression on the Albany community landscape. We must move on from his profile until we have more defining information.
