Rebecca Winne Bogert

by

Rebecca Winne was born in December 1761. She was an older daughter in the very large family of Jellis and Fytje Van Woert Winne. Her father was tailor living in Albany's third ward.

By 1779, she had become the wife of Albany native Christoffel Bogert. By 1790, perhaps four children had been christened at the Albany Dutch church.

These Bogerts began to raise their family in a house just across the city line in Watervliet. However, its growth would be cut short when Christopher Bogert died in August 1796 at the young age of forty-two. After that, have no further references to the life of the Albany known as Rebecca Winne Bogert.
