Bata Winne Dunbar
by
Stefan Bielinski

Bata Winne was born in September 1687. She was the eldest daughter of Livinius and Teuntje Van Buren Winne. By 1699, her mother was dead and her father re-married.

About 1708, she married newcomer John Dunbar. Their son was baptized at the Albany Dutch church in November 1709.

These Dunbars set up their home in Albany's first ward where they operated an inn.

Bata Winne Dunbar died before April 1724 when her husband (identified as the widower of Bata Winne) re-married and later re-located to Schenectady.
