Anna Wendell Ten Eyck
Stefan Bielinski

Anna Wendell was born in February 1709. She was the daughter of Albany residents Harmanus and Anna Glen Wendell. She grew up in a large family in a State Street businessman's home.

In November 1737, she was twenty-eight-years-old at the time of her marriage to Albany businessman Jacob H. Ten Eyck. Between 1738 and 1750, their six children were baptized at the Albany Dutch church where she was an occasional baptism sponsor.

For many years, these Ten Eycks were Albany mainstays - living in a comfortable, merchant's house in the heart of the second ward.

Anna lost her husband in November 1776. Anna Wendell Ten Eyck died in January 1779.
