Feytie Van Woert Winne

by

Feytie (Sophia) Van Woert was born in October 1733. She was a middle daughter in the very large family of Rensselaerswyck residents Jacob and Hendrickie Oothout Van Woert.

In May 1754, she married Rensselaerswyck native Jellis Winne at the Albany Dutch church. By 1777, thirteen children had been christened in Albany.

These Winnes lived on the North End of Albany for many decades. Jellis Winne was a tailor and Albany officeholder. As late as 1800, their Market Street household included nine members.

Both Jellis and Feytie Van Woert Winne died sometime thereafter.
