Magdalena Van Tricht Lansing

Magdalena Van Tricht was born in October 1683. she was the daughter of surgeon Abraham and Elizabeth Teller Van Tricht. Her father died prior to her fourth birthday and her mother re-married in 1692.

In November 1703, Magdalena married Abraham Lansing in a ceremony at her mother's Albany house. By 1728, nine children had been baptized at the Albany Dutch church. In 1720, she was named as an heir in the will of her mother.

These Lansings lived on the corner of Steuben and Chapel streets and were Albany mainstays for over four decades.

Abraham Lansing died in June 1745 at the age of eighty-two. Just past her sixty-second birthday, Magdalena Van Tricht Lansing died five months later on November 30, 1745. She also was buried from the Albany church.
