Hendrick Van Hoesen

by

Perhaps Hendrick Van Hoesen was born on August 30, 1719. He was the son of Albany area residents Harman and Geesie {Hermans} Van Hoesen. His father is said to have been a native of Kinderhook and to have lived until 1754. His mother was buried in 1746.

In July 1744, he married Albany native Catharina Vandenbergh at the Albany Dutch church. She is said to have been his cousin. By 1748, two children had been christened in Albany. His son, Hendrick, became an Albany resident.

However, his marriage was not long-lived as Hendrick Van Hoesen was dead by 1749 when his widow was named in the will of her father. He does not appear to have been a resident of the city of Albany or the child of Albany parents.
