Engeltie Van Deusen Lansing

Engeltie Van Deusen was born in March 1696. She was the daughter of Rutger and Wyntie Hun Van Deusen. She grew up in Rensselaerswyck with only a sister in her small family.

In October 1718, she married Albany native Gerrit Lansing, Jr. at the Albany Dutch church. By 1726, the marriage had produced only three children.

These Lansings lived in the third ward where Gerrit was a prominent businessman and Albany official.

Engeltie Van Deusen Lansing died in October 1745. She had not reached her fiftieth birthday. Her husband lived until the 1780s.
