Catharina Vedder probably was born about 1730. She was the first wife of Albany shoemaker David Groesbeck, Jr.

They were married at the Albany Dutch church in December 1752. Their first child was born the following June.

Catharina Vedder Groesbeck died in December 1754 following the birth of her second son. She probably had lived less than thirty years. David Groesbeck re-married in 1765.
