Anna Margarita Vedder

by

Anna Margarita Vedder was born in January 1710. She probably was the first daughter born to the marriage of Corset and Margarita Barrith Vedder. Her mother died a day before Margarita's christening. Her father remarried the following year. Corset Vedder was known in Halfmoon and then in Schaghticoke.

In September 1732, she married newcomer James Stenhouse at the Albany Dutch church. By 1748, five children had been christened in Albany.

The newlyweds made their home in the second ward where her husband was known as an English language clerk or scribe.

Anna Margarita Vedder and her husband were last heard from in Albany in 1748. However, in 1823, their aged daughter reflected on her family's earlier days. We seek defining information on Anna Margarita's later life and passing.
