by

Christina Ten Broeck was born in 1672. She was a middle child in the large family of Dirck Wesselse and Christina Van Buren Ten Broeck. She grew up in a wealthy businessman's Albany and country houses.

In 1701, Christina was almost thirty when she married Johannes Van Allen. By 1710, five children had been christened at the Albany Dutch church where she had been a member since 1692.

These Van Allens lived in Albany's first ward where Johannes was a successful merchant.

In 1715, Christina was named as a beneficiary in her father's extensive estate that would be shared with ten brothers and sisters.

Christina Ten Broeck Van Allen died in October 1744 and was buried from her church. Her husband survived until 1750.
