Elizabeth Schuyler Staats

Elizabeth Schuyler was born in Sepetember 1715. She was the first daughter of the marriage of Schenectady businessman Nicholas Schuyler and Elsje Wendell.

In May 1739, she married Albany native Joachem Staats at the Albany Dutch church where she was a long-time member and pewholder. By 1760, nine of her children had been baptized in the Albany church.

These Staatses lived in Rensselaerswyck where they shared Jochem's father's land on Staats Island with other family members.

Elizabeth Schuyler Staats died in December 1795.
