Geertruy Roseboom

by

Geertruy Roseboom was born in December 1702. She was a middle child in the large family of Johannes and Gerritje Coster Roseboom. She grew up in a mainline trader/businessman's home near other family members in the second ward.

She was still unmarried in 1737 when she was named as an heir in the will of her father. At that time, her mother and five siblings were still alive.

Perhaps she was a pewholder at the Albany Dutch church in 1747.

Her will dated October 29, 1774 has been saved in a collection held at the New York State Library.

Geertruy Roseboom probably never married and lived quietly under the family umbrella. We seek information on her adult life and passing.
