Elizabeth Roseboom Van Deusen

by

Elizabeth Roseboom probably was born during the 1660s. She was the daughter of Hendrick and Gysbertie Lansing Roseboom. She grew up in a trader's landmark home located on Pearl Street near the north gate.

In January 1692, she married William Jacobse Van Deusen at the Albany Dutch church. By 1705, seven children had been christened in Albany where she was a member.

Her marriage brought her to a house on Pearl Street near those of both their families. These Van Deusens were Albany mainstays for many years.

William Jacobse died in 1731 and was buried in the churchyard. We seek information on Elizabeth Roseboom Van Deusen's passing.
