Anna Ryndertsen probably was born about 1660. She may have been the daughter of New Netherland pioneer Barent Rynderts.

About 1680, she married Joachim Staats. By 1701, at least nine children had been baptized in the Dutch churches in Albany and New York. By 1683, she was a member of the Albany Dutch church and an occasional baptism sponsor.

During the 1680s, these Staatses lived in Albany's first ward but were frequent visitors at family seats down the Hudson.

Anna Ryndertsen Staats probabaly moved to New York with her husband during the mid-1690s. According to traditional sources, she died about 1707. Staats re-married in 1708.
