Elsie Lansing Hun

Elsie Lansing was born between 1710 and 1715. She was the daughter of Albany residents Isaac and Jannetje Beekman Lansing. She grew up in a shoemaker's home in the first ward.

In 1735, she married Albany native Harmen Hun at the Albany Dutch church. By 1753, five children had been christened in Albany.

These Huns resided on Court Street where Harmen also followed the shoemaker's trade. In 1790, their landmark home was served by six slaves and was located near the homes of Elsie's married daughter.

In April 1793, Elsie was named heir and co-executor of the estate of her husband. The will passed probate in 1800. We seek information the the later life and passing of Elsie Lansing Hun
