Catharina Loockermans Ten Broeck

Catharina Loockermans was born during the early 1660s. she was the daughter of New Netherland pioneers Jacob and Tryntje Loockermans.

She married Albany native Wessel Ten Broeck in 1684. Their nine children were baptized in the Albany Dutch church between 1685 and 1706 where both parents were members and very frequent baptism sponsors.

These Ten Broecks lived on Market Street where Wessel was a prominent merchant and civic leader.

Catharina Loockermans Ten Broeck died on January 6, 1729 at age fifty-nine. Her sons carried on the Ten Broeck name in Albany.
