Maria Hogan

by

Maria Hogan was christened at the Albany Dutch church on December 4, 1737. Her parents were Jurrian and Maria Beekman Hogan. She was a younger daughter in the large family of an Albany businessman and property holder who lived in the second ward.

In May 1764, Maria would have been in her mid-twenties when she was named in the joint will filed by her parents. She was to receive a share of their substantial estate. No husband nor children were connected to her in that document. Her parents had died by the time their will passed probate two years later.

After that, the name of Maria Hogan has not yet been encountered in the community-based record. We move on for now still seeking defining information on her later life and passing.
