Catharina Gansevoort Pruyn

Catharina Gansevoort was born about 1694. She was the daughter of Albany brewer Harmen and Maria Conyn Gansevoort. She grew up along the Albany waterfront.

In November 1714, she married Arent Pruyn at the Albany Dutch church. By 1727, six children had been christened in Albany where she was a frequent baptism sponsor.

After more than a decade on living in Albany, during the 1730s these Pruyns removed to Kinderhook.

Catharina Gansevoort Pruyn was last heard from in July 1734 when she and her husband witnessed a baptism in Albany.
