Rebecca Fonda Winne

by

Rebecca Fonda was born in Schenectady in December 1702. She was the daughter of Albany natives Jellis and Rachel Winne Fonda. She was an older daughter in a large family that moved from Albany to Schenectady sometime after 1697.

In June 1730, she married Rensselaerswyck native Killiaen Winne at the Albany Dutch church. By 1743, seven children had been christened at the Albany church.

These Winnes raised their family in the third ward where Killian was known as a carpenter and a cooper and also as a city official who lived into the 1770s.

We seek information on the later life and passing of Rebecca Fonda Winne.
