Sara De Foreest Hun

Sara De Foreest Hun was born in 1736. She was a younger daughter in the large family of Albany County residents Jesse and Neeltie Quackenbush De Foreest.

In 1759, she married Albany carpenter William Hun.Their family may have been small with only two children baptized in the Albany Dutch church in 1760 and 1763. However, the census of 1790 counted nine family members (including five females) and a slave in their North Market Street home.

Sara De Foreest Hun was dead by 1821 when her husband filed his will.
