by

Anna Bogardus was born in February 1735. She was the daughter of Anthony and Jannetie Knickerbacker De Wandelaer.

By 1745, she had married Benjamin Van Vechten. The marriage produced two children before his death in 1749. In March 1753, she married widower Pieter De Wandelaer at the Albany Dutch church. By 1763, three more children had been christened in Albany where she was a pewholder.

Anna was named co-executor of her first husband's estate. She was left a small monetary bequest and all of his moveable property. Following her second marriage, she brought her property and son to live in De Wandelaer's third ward home.

Anna Bogardus Van Vechten De Wandelaer died in June 1787 and was buried from her church.
