Will of Egbert Egbertsen - 1760



In the name of God, Amen, August 2, 1760. I, Egbert Egbertson, of Albany, mariner, being sick and weak. I leave to my son Benjamin “my Gun, in Right Primogeniture.” I leave to my wife Maria the use of all my real and personal estate during her widowhood.

I leave to my five children, Benjamin, Anna, Maria, Anthony, and Jacob Visher Egberston, all my houses and lands, and the undivided share in all the real estate which descended to me in right of my mother by virtue of the will of Dirck Hermans.

I make my wife Maria and friend, Isaac Smith, executors.

Witnesses, Hendrick M. Roseboom, John Knickerbocker, Abraham Yates, Jr.
