Will of Edward Blood - 1746


In the name of God, Amen, July 16, 1746. I, Edward Blood, of Albany, Gentleman, being sick. I leave to my 4 cousins, Class, Johanes, Petrius, and Cornelius Vanderburgh, all of my estate, and I make them executors.

Witnesses Hans Hansen, Hendrich Roseboom, Jorian Hogan.

Proved before Myndert Schuyler, Esq., July 19, 1746.

Will dated July 16, 1746. Probated July 19, 1746. Printed in Abstract of Wills volume 28, p. 85.

An estate inventory was made in March 1747 and signed by the will's executors. It listed the following assets: Items of silver incl. 12 tablespoons, a mustard pot, 2 salts, a pepper-pot, a munch ladle, 12 teaspoons, pr. of sugar tongs, and a tankard. Also listed: sword and belt with silver buckle, 3 powder horns, and a picture china teapot. (NY Estate Inventories)
