Anna Van Wie Van Allen

by

Anna Van Wie was born in 1701. She was the daughter of Rensselaerswyck residents Gerrit and Agnietie Conyn Van Wie. She grew up on the family farm located along the Hudson and south of Albany.

In April 1727, she married Albany native Pieter Van Allen at the Albany Dutch church. Their children were christened there beginning in December 1728.

The new couple settled in Albany's first ward where they lived without much mention in the mainline community record.

However, the marriage would be short-lived as Anna Van Wie Van Allen died some time after the birth of her third child in December 1733. Her husband re-married and fathered more children beginning in 1734.
