Stefan Bielinski

Maria Van Patten (Petten) probably was born during the early 1670s. She probably was the daughter of regional property holder Claes Frederickse Van Patten.

In November 1695, she married Albany mariner Willem Van Allen at the Albany Dutch church. By 1710, eight of their children had been baptized in Albany.

These Van Allens lived in Albany's first ward where skipper Willem supported his family in the style of a successful businessman.

Maria Van Patten Van Allen died in February 1733 and was buried from the Dutch church. Willem Van Allen lived until 1753.
