Catharina V. Deusen Vandenbergh

by

Catharina Van Deusen was born in May 1693. She was the first child born to the marriage of Rensselaerswyck residents Rutger Melgertse and Wientie Hun Van Deusen. Her childhood family was small with only a sister who later married and settled in Albany.

In May 1717, she married Matthias Vandenbergh at the Albany Dutch church. By 1736, ten children had been christened at the Albany church..

These Vandenberghs lived outside of Albany - probably on the east side of the Hudson River.

Catharina Van Deusen Vandenbergh lost her husband in February 1745. We seek defining information on her later life and pasing.
