Ephraim Ten Broeck

by

Ephraim Ten Broeck was christened at the Albany Dutch church on November 21, 1686. He was the twin son of Albany leader Dirck Wesselse and Christina Van Buren Ten Broeck. These two were the tenth and eleventh children born into one of early Albany's largest families.

Any celebration would have been short-lived as Ephraim Ten Broeck probably did not live to see his first birthday. Neither of the twins was alive when their father filed his will in 1715. Ironically, all eleven of their still-living siblings were named and provided for from their parents' substantial estate.
