Anna Hals Vanderheyden

by

Anna Hals was born in Europe - probably during the 1630s. In July 1655, she married Jacob Tysse in Amsterdam.

The couple then emigrated to New Netherland. By 1675, their marriage had produced eight children who established the Vanderderheyden family in Albany and its hinterland for generations to come.

With the death of Jacob Tysse in October 1687, Anna became head of their family. Her household was configured on the Albany census in 1697 and valued on the assessment rolls in 1702 and 1709.

Anna Hals Vanderheyden probably died after 1710.
