Jacomyntie Gardinier probably was born about 1660. She would have been the daughter of Rensselaerswyck settlers Jacob Janse and Josina Gardinier.

By the early 1680s, she married Maas Cornelise Van Buren. By 1701, at least six children had been christened at the Albany Dutch church where she was a member and occasional baptism sponsor.

Jacomyntie raised her family in Albany where Maas Cornelisse sought to make his way in the fur trade.

Her husband had passed from the scene by 1709 when she was listed as the head of her third ward household. Identified in the Albany church burial records as "Jaquemyna Mase," she died in April 1724.
