Will of David Rottery - 1801

In the Name of God Amen. I David Ratery of the City and County of Albany living in Good health and Sound mind and memory, blesssed be God for the Same do this Twentyfifth day of March One Thousand Eight Hundred and one, Make and publish this my last Will and Tassament in manner following that is today,

First I will that all my just debts, and Funeral Expenses be paid out of my Estate.

Secondly, I give devise and bequeath to Jane Ratery my beloved Wife, all my Remaining Estate Both Real and personal Viz my Real Estate Lot No 42 In the City of Albany, Bounded on the North by Lyon Street, 30 Feet Wide, Runing from thence to Swan Street 140 feet, thence West 30 Feet, and from thence to the West Corner of the lot 140, feet be the Same more of less, together with all my Personal Estate of what Nature or Kind the Same may be, or whereforever the Same may be found, to have and hold the Same during her Natural life and after her Decease and Funeral Expenses being paid, I Will and Devise the above Said lot to be equally divide between My two Sons James and Robert Ratery, to their Heirs And Assigns forever

And lastly I do appoint John Frayzer, and John Mc Farshon Executors to this my last Will and Testament. hereby Revocking all former Wills by me made. In Witness Where of have hereunto Sat my hand and Seal the day and Year first above written - - -
