Sara Winne was born in July 1734. She

and Rachel Van Arnhem Winne. She grew

In September 1765, she was thirty-one when married widower David Groesbeck at the Albany Dutch church. Their subsequent marriage of thirty years appears to have been childless.
Groesbeck was a shoemaker whose home was in Albany's second ward. He died in 1795. After that, perhaps she lived in the Groesbeck house on Fox Street. In 1806, she was left $200 in the will of Gerrit Van Zandt, Jr.
Sara Winne Groesbeck died on April 20, 1818. The house and lot of "Widow Groesbeck" on Fox Street were noted in the newspaper in 1819.
