Robert Wendell

by

Robert Wendell was born in November 1709. He was the son of Johannes and Elizabeth Waters Wendell. He also was known as "Robert Wendell, Jr."

In October 1732, he married Catharina Winne at the Albany Dutch church. By 1753, eight children had been christened at the Albany church where he was an occasional baptism sponsor.

In July 1759 the Albany government paid his account for nine shillings.

This Robert Wendell lost his wife in January 1755. He appears to be the individual who in 1763 sold 5,000 acres of property in what became Lansingburgh.

In January 1771, he was chosen fence viewer in Lansingburgh.

This sketch is very much in flux.
