Johannes Wendell

Johannes Wendell was born in July 1742. He was said to have been the son of Abraham H. and Anna Wendell. However, we believe the baptism record meant to give the mother as Elizabeth Wendell. His father was a prominent State Street merchant.

These Wendells lived on upper State Street close by family members and other prominent personages.

This Johannes Wendell was dead by November 19, 1749 when his parents christened another baby "Johannes Wendell." He may have lived only seven years.
