Elizabeth Van Woert Fryer

by

Elizabeth Van Woert was born in September 1738. She was the daughter of Rensselaerswyck resident Jacob R. Van Woert and his second wife, Anna Ouderkerk Van Woert. However, her mother died in the spring of 1749 leaving Jacob with several small children.

In July 1759, Elizabeth married John Fryer at the Albany Dutch church. At that time, she was identified as a "spinster" and her husband as a skipper. Both were said to have been "of Albany." By 1777, seven of their children had been christened in Albany churches.

Perhaps John Fryer was dead by the 1780s. We seek information on the adult life and passing of Elizabeth Van Woert Fryer.
