Maycke Van Ness Ouderkerk

by

Maycke Van Ness was born during the 1670s. She was the daughter of Albany residents Jan and Aaltje Van Ness.

In May 1696, she married Isaac Ouderkerk at the Albany Dutch church. By 1720, ten children had been christened in Albany where both parents were members.

These Ouderkerks lived in the first ward of Albany and then in Kinderhook and Halfmoon.

Following a marriage that lasted more than fifty years, Maycke Van Ness Ouderkerk died in March 1747. Perhaps, her husband lived longer!
