Maria Van Ness Vandenbergh

by

Maria Van Ness was born in March 1706. She was the daughter of Albany residents Cornelis and Maria Vandenbergh Van Ness.

In January 1726, she married Johannes Vandenbergh at the Albany Dutch church. By 1752, eleven children had been christened in Albany where she was a pewholder.

These Vandenberghs raised their family in the third ward where Johannes was a merchant.

In 1749, she was identified as a Dutch church pewholder. In June 1751 she was identified as the mother of the child christened in the church. After that, the name of Maria Van Ness Vandenbergh has not been found in Albany records.
