Sara Van Iveren Muller

by

Sara Van Iveren was born in August 1734. She was the daughter of Barent and Cornelia Van Alstyne Van Iveren. Her father is said to have died in 1748.

In June 1753, she married Johannes Muller at the Albany Dutch church. At that time, the young bride was said to have been born and living in Rensselaerswyck. By 1778, nine children reflecting traditional family names had been christened in Albany. Her long childbearing duration (25 years) was uncommon but those grandparents were named explicitly in the church records.

These Mullers began to raise their family in Albany's third ward. However, they appear to have made only a faint impression on the community landscape.

We seek definitive information on the life and passing of Sara Van Iveren Muller.
