by
Stefan Bielinski

Teuntje Martens was the daughter of New Netherland pioneers Martin Cornelise and Mayke Van Buren. She was born during the mid-seventeenth century.

About 1682, she married farmer and trader Livinius Winne. Over the next decade and a half, five children were baptized at the Albany Dutch church.

These Winnes lived in Rensselaerswyck (probably on Castle Island) and also held property in Albany.

Teuntje Martens Van Buren Winne was dead by June 20, 1699 when her husband remarried.
