Geertruy Veeder Van Vranken

by

Geertruy Veeder was born in September 1758. She was the daughter of Simon J. Veeder and his second wife, the widow Anna Van Antwerpen Bradt Veeder. She grew up in the home of a prominent Albany merchant and landholder.

In February 1783, she married Maus Van Vranken at the Albany Dutch church. By 1787, the marriage had produced three children.

For more than two decades, these Van Vrankens were prominent residents of the second ward.

Geertruy Veeder Van Vranken may have been deceased when her husband passed in March 1816.
