Maria Ten Eyck Bradt

by

Maria Ten Eyck was born in January 1707. She was the daughter of Albany residents Coenradt and Gerritje Van Schaick Ten Eyck. She grew up in a large family in the first ward home of a prominent Albany silversmith.

In September 1736, Maria was twenty-nine when she married Albany native Gerrit Bradt at the Albany Dutch church. Their child was born in 1737.

This Bradt family lived in the first ward where Gerrit found some success in business. Eight of Maria's siblings would raise families in eighteenth-century Albany.

Maria Ten Eyck Bradt died in April 1740 and was buried by her church. She had lived less than thirty-three years. Her husband re-married and fathered more children.
