Ann Thompson

Ann Thompson was the wife and then probably trhe widow of Albany resident Ralph Thompson. Like her husband, she probably was born between 1756 and 1774 - but perhaps prior to 1770. We seek information on her origins (beginning with her maiden name) and path to Albany.

By 1788, these Thompsons had settled on the south side of Albany. In July 1789, their son (Archibald) was christened at the Albany Lutheran church. In October 1790, another son, John, was baptized at St. Peter's Episcopal church.

These Thompsons lived in the first ward.

Ralph Thompson was last heard from in 1800.

In 1816, the widow Ann Thompson was listed in the city directory at 75 Hudson Street.

In 1820, the city census showed three people living in her household. An aged Ann was the only female listed.

We seek information on the later life and passing of Albany resident and widow Ann Thompson
