Geertruy Slingerland Hansen

Geertruy Slingerland was born in September 1743. She was the last child born to the marriage of Teunis Slingerland and his second wife, Cornelia Kip Slingerland. Both of her parents died within two years of her birth.

In October 1764, Geertruy married Albany native Johannes Hansen at the Albany Dutch church. By 1784, six children had been christened in Albany. Some of those births also were recorded in a Hansen family bible.

These Hansens probably were residents of the city of Albany.
