Elizabeth Staats Sharp

by

Elizabeth Staats probably was born during the 1740s. We have yet to connect her to the Albany Staats family.

By the 1770s, she had married Albany-area native Coenradt Sharp. Four children were christened at the Albany Dutch church between 1776 and 1790.

By the early 1780s, the couple was raising their family in a middling home on Market Street.

Coenradt Sharp was dead by July 1812 when his will passed probate. The Patroon Street home of the "widow of Coenradt Sharp" was noted in the Albany directory for 1816. Elizabeth Staats Sharp died sometime thereafter.
