Catharina Schuyler Bogert

by

Catharina Schuyler was born in October 1686. She was the third child born to the marriage of Pieter D. and the childless widow Alida Van Slichtenhorst Van Schaick Schuyler. She grew up in a mainline and landed Albany family but lost her father in 1696. Her her mother, however, lived for another fifty years.

Catharina married Albany native Jacob J Bogert. Between 1711 and 1721, six children were christened at the Albany Dutch church.

These Bogerts were second/third ward mainliners at least thru the 1720s.

After the christening of her daughter and namesake in July 1721, the name of Catharina Schuyler Bogert has not yet been encountered in the community-based record. Her husband may have lived until at least 1738. With so many same-named contemporary kin, we move on for now.
